Test messaging while driving is extremely dangerous. I'm glad to see Austin taking a stand against it. I'm sure if you've been the victim of someone texting and driving, be it by car wreck or if they hit you on your bike (as often happens in Austin even when people are paying attention) you should definitely contact an Austin auto accident attorney to properly handle your case.

What an awful car accident. Texas is known for having terrible accidents all the time. Drivers on I 35 and MoPac really need to recognize drive with a higher level of caution these days. I hope more people hire Austin lawyers instead of just letting the insurance handle things and really get what they are entitled too after such an awful experience.

Lisa was wearing her seat belt! It was not her baby who died it was the passengers baby that had died. Also you make it sound like it was Lisa who hit the other vehicle when it was really the other Vehicle was trying to pass the car in front of them and went in the other lane hitting Lisa's car.

The new policies sound so interesting. Yes, the key is to make sure everyone is going home safe and sound. It's kinda hard for firefighters to make sure every time that drivers are aware that they need to get through. If they get involved in an accident, it's more complicated for an Austin injury attorney to fight for his client.

The absolute best response to this kind of nonsense policy, at least that I have ever seen, was in Little Rock Arkansas back in the early 80's, during the Clinton years as best I recall. The City of Little Rock made the rule that ALL emergency vehicles had to abide by traffic laws including speed limits and traffic lights...even stop signs! It didn’t take long before they had they had the first death directly attributable to the new policy, i.e., EMS was just a little too late. The Pulaski County Sheriff went television, radio, and in newspapers putting the word out that ANYTIME an emergency vehicle needed an escort through the city to contact his office and it would be TOP PRIORITY. Of course the city told him that he couldn't do that, but he simply replied that the city was inside his county and therefore he actually could. The Sheriff's decision stood as a higher authority and the city was forced to back down from a less than intelligent policy. Just a thought.

Before I read these comments I found a link that says the study results have been misinterpreted and actually show vertebroplasty DOES reduce back pain.

I hope that mainstream media eager to jump on the Obama policy bandwagon are not poisoning public opinion before checking the real facts. If this one story negates 20 years of clinical research than the most vulnerable among us (pain ridden elderly osteo suffers) are going to continue to suffer is silence.

We all should be checking facts before rushing to judgment.
